Introduction: Understanding how people perceive different urban environments is essential for designing spaces that promote comfort, safety, and well-being. The project “Capturing Human Perception of Places” explores the relationship between the built environment and subjective human experiences by analyzing how individuals emotionally and cognitively respond to various urban settings. Through the integration of geospatial data, visual elements, and human feedback—often gathered through surveys or crowdsourced platforms—this project aims to quantify and model place perception. The insights generated can guide urban designers, architects, and policymakers in creating spaces that better align with human needs and emotional responses.
